We Are Interactive Artists

Anticlockwise Arts is a group of artists, engineers, scientists, and data explorers. We research emerging interface technologies in computer vision and tactile media for interactive installations, data visualization, and augmented storytelling. We create experiences for museums, professional spaces, festivals and other events on a permanent or rental basis. We are highly collaborative and often work alongside the design and development teams of other organizations and agencies.

Co-founder, composer, scientist, programmer. A freelance interactive designer/developer and part-time staff member of The Exploratorium, Cory spends his days working on interactive systems, telling stories with data, and exploring modern technology as an artistic medium. Notable pieces he has contributed to include Comfort Zone, Watercolor Walls, Unearthed, Sandbox World, and Syzygryd. His artwork has been featured at The Exploratorium, The Tech Museum of Innovation, the California Academy of Sciences, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and other festivals and venues. Cory holds a Masters in Computer Science from Stanford and a Masters in Music Theory from the University of Oklahoma.

Rich DDT has been performing live electronic music and creating interactive digital installations since 2006. He has been a featured artist at NASA Ames Research Center, California Academy of Sciences, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Maker Faire, SF MusicTech Summit, M1 Interactive and countless major festivals. His musical installations have utilized languages such as Max, Javascript, C++, and hardware including computers, arduinos, and custom-built analog electronics using relays for logic.

Robin enjoys tinkering with electronics and physical things. When not drawing, soldering, or laser cutting, she can often be found trying her hand at bellydance and aerial arts. She has a B.S. in Neuroscience and is a programmer and biochemist.

Co-founder, hacker, machinist and artist. Paul is happiest when working on projects that combine digital and physical mediums. He has worked on numerous award-winning mobile applications in the Travel and GPS Blogging spaces, and previously owned a furniture company. He has had work shown at different venues, including the Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, the California Academy of Sciences, and Maker Faire. Paul has a B.A. in English from the University of Michigan.

Artist, co-founder, and hacker. Matt has an unhealthy obsession with tinkering. He founded two music technology companies and an advertising company, with an acquisition by Beatport. He worked on Syzygryd, and has had his artwork shown at the Grey Area Foundation for the Arts. A 2x prize winner at the SF Music Hack Day, he holds a B.S. in computer science with research in interaction design, and a B.S. in psychology.
